Rhonda Shear Up All Night
Friday, May 9th, 2008Rhonda Shear continues to be the most recognizable face from the USA Network’s cult television show, USA Up All Night.
Rhonda Shear joined the show as a host in 1991. Prior to that, she had put herself on the map by running against the New Orleans Register of Conveyances. Rhonda ran a campaign that was infused with sarcasm, and caused comedy legend Bob Hope to take notice of her. From there, Rhonda appeared in a few established TV shows, among them were Happy Days, and The A-Team. Becuase of her experience with B-grade movies and television, Rhonda Shear made a perfect match for Up All Night.
The show consisted of low-budget films, normally not in heavy rotation on TV. The movies were bracketed by the comedy of the Up All Night hosts. Up All Night was one of the few places that fans of movies such as The Toxic Avenger, Kentucky Fried Movie, and Porky’s could view their favorite cinematic titles. This has cemented Rhonda Shears status as a cult icon. Rhonda Shears currently designs a line of shapewear, which is often sold on the Home Shopper’s Network.
